ESGold Advances Historic Mine Waste Reclamation With MOU for Up to 300,000 Tonnes of Aggregate Annually

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / October 29, 2026 / ESGold Corp. (CSE:ESAU)(OTCQB:ESAUF)(FSE:Z7D) ("ESGold" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with Culture H. Dolbec Inc., a Québec-based company, to evaluate the potential supply and beneficial reuse of up to 300,000 metric tonnes annually of neutralized mining residue from ESGold's fully permitted Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Québec.

Text size:

The agreement represents an important step in ESGold's strategy to transform historic mine waste into commercially valuable material while advancing its broader vision of environmental restoration and sustainable resource development.

Under the MOU, the parties intend to evaluate the use of treated mining residue as aggregate for potential construction applications, creating an opportunity for an additional revenue stream alongside the Company's planned gold and silver recovery operations at its Montauban Gold-Silver Project in Québec.

The MOU is non-binding and a general understanding between the parties. Definitive terms and deliveries under the MOU will be subject to material characterization, environmental testing, applicable regulatory approvals and the execution of a definitive agreement between the parties. No pricing or minimum purchase commitments have been established under the MOU.

Transforming a Century of Mining Waste into a Valuable Resource

For more than a century, historic mining activities in the Montauban region have left behind substantial quantities of mine tailings stored at surface, creating a longstanding environmental legacy issue for the surrounding community. These historic residues contain potentially harmful metals and sulphide-bearing minerals that can present environmental risks if left unmanaged.

ESGold's Montauban processing operation is designed to address this legacy issue by recovering remaining gold and silver from historic tailings while treating, neutralizing and stabilizing the residual material. Through its planned closed-circuit processing system and subsequent residue treatment, the Company aims to reduce the environmental risks associated with these historic deposits and produce a stable, environmentally suitable aggregate for potential beneficial reuse.

Rather than simply relocating historic mine waste into new permanent storage, ESGold is pursuing opportunities to transform this material into a usable product, supporting the Company's long-term vision of reducing mining waste while creating additional economic value.

Gordon Robb, Chief Executive Officer and Director of ESGold, commented:

"This MOU represents an exciting step forward in our vision for Montauban. For generations, this community has lived alongside the environmental legacy of historic mining operations. We now have an opportunity to change that by recovering the remaining precious metals, neutralizing and stabilizing the waste, and potentially transforming it into a valuable construction material. Our goal is to turn what has been an environmental liability for more than a century into something that benefits both the community and our shareholders."
