BESS: Converting a 2 GW Battery Storage Pipeline into Revenue and Long-Term Asset Value

HOVR: Advancing Hybrid-Electric Aviation with Greater Range and Efficiency

Brandon Robinson, Co-Founder and CEO of Horizon Aircraft, joins the RedChip Small Stocks, Big Money™ show to discuss the Cavorite X7, a hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed to overcome the range, payload and infrastructure limitations of battery-powered designs. Combining patented fan-in-wing technology with hybrid-electric propulsion, the Cavorite X7 can take off and land like a helicopter while flying approximately 98% of its mission as a conventional aircraft. With target speeds of 250 mph, a range of up to 500 miles and a useful load of approximately 1,500 pounds, the aircraft is designed for regional transportation, medical evacuation, defense and disaster response missions.

Robinson highlights Horizon's competitive advantages, including more than 30 patents and a propulsion system that generates electricity onboard, eliminating reliance on ground-based charging infrastructure. Unlike battery-only aircraft designed for short urban routes, the Cavorite X7 targets longer-distance missions in challenging weather and remote locations. Horizon also plans to manufacture and sell aircraft to established operators rather than operate its own fleet, reducing capital requirements. The Company targets pricing of $6 million to $8 million per aircraft, compared with $12 million to $15 million for comparable helicopters.

The interview also explores Horizon's path to commercialization. Following successful large-scale prototype demonstrations of vertical takeoff, transition and forward flight, the Company is building its full-scale Cavorite X7, with ground and flight testing planned for 2027. Horizon is pursuing certification through Transport Canada, with potential FAA validation under existing bilateral agreements. Management plans to develop low-volume production capabilities as testing progresses, targeting initial deliveries in 2030.
